What it means to be a Board Certified Orthodontist
What is a Board Certified Orthodontist?
When choosing an orthodontist it is important to select a doctor who is most qualified to fit your needs. An orthodontist can choose to be reviewed by the American Board of Orthodontics, on a voluntary basis, to show their willingness to continually improve themselves and their orthodontic education.
To become certified the doctors first take a written exam to test their orthodontic knowledge. If they successfully complete the first round, then the doctors are asked to present treated cases to be examined by orthodontic experts. Doctors are asked to re-examine every few years to make sure their knowledge is up-to-date.
We are happy to say all three of our doctors, Dr. Andre Fruge, Dr. James Fruge, and Dr. Brad Fruge, are board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. This ensures that you receive the highest quality care at all four of our locations!
