Retainers + Actually Wearing Them = Beautiful Smile!

Once our patients have their braces removed, we classify them as being in “Retention”. Retention is a very important phase in your orthodontic treatment.

During this time, the doctors will have you come in to evaluate how well you have done at wearing your retainers to maintain the position your teeth were in when your braces were removed. It is very crucial that you wear your retainer as directed by your orthodontist. Once your braces are removed your teeth automatically want to go back to their old position because your teeth have been moved drastically from their original location. Also, remember that just because you have a “permanent” retainer placed doesn’t mean it’s optional to wear your removable retainer. So make it a priority to wear those removable retainers and keep that beautiful Frugé smile for a lifetime!
